Course & Navigation

Extremely difficult mountain terrain with long, steep climbs (the 100 has multiple 2-hour climbs) and sections without defined trail. Respect the challenge.
How is the course marked?
Pink/orange flagging, reflective tape, Standhope sprinkler flags, and paper signs. Animals, weather, or hikers can disturb markings—you are responsible for staying on course.
Do I need a GPS route?
Yes—required for all runners.
Have the official GPX loaded before arriving at the start. There’s no cell service in the mountains.
If you leave the course, return to the last known point.
